NC Engineering Shear Grab 1900kV Tines. Cubic capacity: 1.2m³ Specification: -Cutting (working) width: 1,900 mm (1.9 m / 6’3”) -Tine configuration / number of tines: 14 tines -Tine spacing: 138mm -Block / jaw opening / Max block height: 800mm -Overall grab depth / tine length: 820 mm (tine length / jaw depth) -Cut type: Shear‑cut / block cutting — suitable for clamp silage or maize clamp, giving a clean face. -Compatibility / Mounting: The shear‑grab range is offered with a selection of bolt‑on front‑loader or telehandler brackets / carriers, enabling fitting to tractors, loaders or telehandlers. Why Use a Shear Grab: -Clean cut & efficient silage removal: Shear‑grab slices off blocks of silage or maize clamp cleanly, reducing damage to clamp face and minimising waste — better than scooping with a bucket. -Large working width + capacity: At 1.9 m width and 14‑tines, SG 1.9 m gives good throughput — useful for medium/large farms, dairy units or situations where many feed-outs are needed. -Less labour & time‑efficient: The block-cut method means fewer passes needed vs bucket loading, especially in deep clamps. -Versatility: Can fit to a loader, front‑end loader, or telescopic handler (assuming correct bracket/mounting) — giving flexibility depending on what machine you use. -Good block size / opening capacity: With 800 mm block‑height opening, you get deep “slices” from the clamp for larger feed loads.
